Veekmas Oy started using the sun’s energy
A solar energy plant with totally 254 solar cell panels were assembled on the roofs of Veekmas Oy’s premises last autumn. The power plant was turned on in the early spring since the temperature had risen and it started producing energy to the company’s needs. The investment improves the energy self-sufficiency and brings energy conservation. The generated solar energy is local and low-carbon.
The consumption profil and the solar energy producing profil of the company meet each other well in the company operations. We have estimated that a quarter of the electrical energy can be replaced by renewable energy. Correspondingly, the company in proportion also reduces its carbon footprint and CO2 emissions. We want for our part encourage also other companies to find out the recovery possibilities of renewable energy in the own company.
